I am loving feather skirts for Holiday. It almost makes sense to wear them in December (in a way you just can’t justify in say, the middle of summer).

To keep the skirt looking chic and not too costume like, consider the following:
-Shoes should be simple (but tall!). A sleek heel or even a simple black bootie is perfect. You can’t do a statement shoe with this skirt!
-Pair it with a tee, tank, or even a sweatshirt to give it more of an ever-day look. I love how cute a simple grey sweatshirt is tucked in. A striped tee could be really cute too!
-If the skirt is looking too drastic, consider pairing with a blazer, fitted field jacket, or a leather over it
-For nighttime, keep it simple with a plain blouse or top, maybe a statement necklace? A leather blouse or tank could add an interesting contrast in texture. I love the idea of a bold or ornate belt around the waist to define the skirt also!
-Ostrich feathers are super light and fluffy feathers, and are much easier to work with than other types of feathers that are more defined (and could look too bird-like)
